Top 10 Most Unforgettable Lines from the Avengers Characters

Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans are some of the biggest names that made an investment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise. In numerous films that have been in, some lines made a mark on them and their fans as well. Here are some Avengers stars and their most memorable lines.

Chris Evans – Let’s go get this son of a b****!”

Evan’s character, Captain America, is known to be conservative and is not a fan of profanity. That’s why it’s rare for viewers to hear him say such a thing. Even other cast members, like Hemsworth and Johansson, were surprised when they saw the clip, which was played during their guestings on Jimmy Kimmel Live! If there will be a runner-up for this line, it will be “I can do this all day” when he had a fight scene with his old self.

Brie Larson – “Got something for me?”

The Academy Award-winning actress was first seen in the post-credit scene of the Avengers: Infinity War, which is an introduction of her character of Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel. Her standalone film was released back in 2019 just over a month before the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame, wherein she uttered her most unforgettable line “Got something for me?” The line itself is not that striking, but the scenes after she said that, added value to this one-line dialogue. It was when all the female characters showed up and helped her with her mission.

Scarlett Johansson – Uttering technical jargon

This one came from the actress herself, credits to her. During her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with other cast members, she revealed that her most unforgettable line was during the shooting of Iron Man 2, where she was first introduced. She needed to utter some technical jargon but failed as she considered it her weakness.

Robert Downey Jr. – “I am Iron Man!”

MCU fans immediately knew where and when the actor uttered this line. It’s a kernel sentence but delivered with overflowing conviction. Downey Jr. mentioned this dialogue just a few seconds before snapping his fingers with all six infinity stones placed on his mechanical arm. Credits to him, all the remaining humans, including his daughter, were saved.

Chris Hemsworth – “He’s a friend from work”

It was in Thor: Ragnarok when he uttered this line, particularly in the part where he reunited with the incredible Hulk in a fighting arena. The interesting part, according to Hemsworth himself, is that the line was suggested by a kid and was “one of the best lines in the movie,” he revealed.

Tom Hiddleston – “Yes! That’s how it feels!”

In connection with this former scene was when Loki, the character of Hiddleston, celebrated the beating of his brother to Hulk. As many might already know, Loki and Hulk were involved in an altercation before, where the former was badly beaten by the latter. This also caused him to get some chills whenever he saw him. Just like what happened to his brother, the green-skinned beast did the same thing to Thor, which caused Hiddleston’s character to scream out of joy.

Chris Pratt – “Don’t forget, I’m half-human so that 50% of me that’s stupid, that’s 100% you.”

This line was so powerful not just because his character was the one who said it, but it was the person to whom he said it — Tony Stark/Iron Man. Like, he’s probably the only one who said such a thing to him. On the other hand, “What am I supposed to say, Jesus?” would be a great line, a funny one too, but not as good as the aforementioned.

Samuel L. Jackson – “Ooh… you kiss your mother with that mouth?”

Upon his arrival in Avengers: The Age Of Ultron riding a humongous airship, Captain America praised his reinforcement in the most unusual way, and this is how Jackson’s character replied.

Jeremy Renner – “You didn’t see that coming?”

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hawkeye and Quicksilver had some beef. There’s one specific scene when the former was knocked down by the latter and mocked him by saying “You didn’t see that coming?” In a later scene, Quicksilver was seen standing on a glass plane talking to other characters when Hawkeye unexpectedly shot the glass with a gun, which caused it to break. Scarlet Witch’s twin brother then fell with shards of glass all over him. Hawkeye immediately pressed his foot with his, then utter those exact words with a more mocking tone. Gave him his own medicine, indeed.

Mark Ruffalo – “I’m always angry”

No other line could possibly be mentioned than this. It was the line in The Avengers before Dr. Banner turns into Hulk and smashed the armored creature with his one green hand.
